LG G Watch goes on sale

LG's G Watch runs Google's Android Wear
LG's G Watch has gone on sale, featuring an 'always on' display and button-free design.
The smartwatch is the first of the several created in collaboration with Google's Android Wear technology to go on sale, ahead of Motorola's Moto 360, Samsung's Gear Live and the HTC One Wear.

The G Watch pairs with all smartphones running Android 4.3 or above through the Android Wear app. It boasts a 1.65-inch display, 400mAh battery and comes in two colours - white gold and black titan.

It offers email, text and other notifications through a series of 'cards', which flash onto the screen accordingly. Swiping left will answer incoming calls, while swiping right on the display rejects them.
Swiping up on the watch face allows the user to send a text using voice recognition, which is activated with the "OK Google..." command.. Emails can also be checked and replied to via voice command, alongside organised schedules.

The voice recognition software goes one step further through the translation function - changing a sentence from one language to another.

The 'always on' functionality of the watch means it can be woken up with a simple touch to the screen. The screen dims into inactive mode when covered by a hand.

Analysts predict that around 19 million smartwatches will be sold worldwide by the end of the year.
